A Commitment to The Safety and Health of Our Team and Individuals

As our PALS locations begin to reopen during the COVID-19 Pandemic, we have put a number of safety measures in place to keep everyone safe and healthy. The health and safety of our team and the individuals in our programs is our number one priority. All of our team members will be required to wear masks while at work. All team members and individuals will have temperature checks upon entering PALS buildings. We’ll be continuing our virtual PALS TV live events as opportunities for those who are unable to join us at our on-site locations.

FACILITY-BASED ADS

Each PALS location will now have new environmental safety requirements in place. We have begun limiting the number of people allowed in a given environment to ensure social distancing and safety.

 

•Limited to 10 people per environment (includes staff)

•We’ll set up numerous environments within our buildings to ensure proper social distancing

•Symptom monitoring for both staff and participants

•Dedicated Staff Assigned to Groups to Reduce Exposure Risk

•6ft Social Distance

Transportation will Include 6ft Social Distancing at All Times

PPE will be mandated for all staff and encouraged for participants, this includes facemasks

STEP MODEL

A new STEP Model will be implemented at all of our PALS locations. This person-centered process Steps Toward Emerging Possibilities, is a state initiative to move day supports to a more community-based environment. It also allows for smaller group sizes and a more person-centered approach. Groups are not relegated to only attending during certain hours or days of the week. It allows for groups to customize their schedule to accommodate their interests in the community.

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Coronavirus spreads through direct person-to-person contact. To protect yourself, follow these guidelines: 
  • 1. WASH YOUR HANDS 

    for twenty seconds with soap and water.

  • 2. AVOID TOUCHING

    your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.

  • 3. COVER WITH A TISSUE

    when you cough or sneeze, or use your sleeve if no tissues are available. Throw used tissues in the trash. 

  • 4. CLEAN & DISINFECT

    frequently touched surfaces.

  • 5. SOCIAL DISTANCE

    Stay at least six feet from other people. Do not gather in groups and avoid large gatherings of people.
